First time using the product was to break loose a hydraulic filter housing on a loader. This strap wrench was put under some extreme tension before popping a couple stitches. The canister will need to be replaced, but we were able to remove it. The loader operates in extremely corrosive conditions. The strap did not break, but gear wrench sent a replacement immediately after notifying them about the stitching that popped. Would recommend for industrial heavy duty use.

This is a very versatile strap wrench; capable of being used with both 3/8 and 1/2 drive extensions and ratchet. Quality seems to be very good.

I BOUGHT THIS STRAP AS A LAST RESORT TO REMOVE A STUCK WATER SEPARATOR ON MY 2013 DODGE RAM DIESEL. I BOUGHT A COUPLE DIFFERENT FILTER WRENCHES THAT WOULD NOT BREAK THE SEPARATOR LOOSE. IT IS LOCATED IN A TIGHT SPOT BESIDE THE FUEL TANK. I HAVE HAD TO RUN A SCREW DRIVER THROUGH OIL FILTERS A COUPLE TIMES IN MY LIFE, BUT THIS POSSIBLY CONTAINING A FLAMMABLE LIQUID, GAVE ME PAUSE!! I BOUGHT THIS STRAP FILTER REMOVER MADE BY GEAR WRENCH AND IT WORKED GREAT. I DID EAT MY WHEATIES BEFORE I TRIED IT BECAUSE I STILL HAD TO APPLY A LOT OF STRENGTH TO BREAK IT LOOSE BUT I GIT IT ON MY FIRST TRY. GREAT PRODUCT!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOOL.

I used it at diesel repair shop, it worked very well for removing semi truck stuck oil filters, after 1 month for not a daily use, the strap separated to a half, the socket held up very well i amazed how solid it is,, i tried to use the lifetime warranty as the box it came with mentioned that, gearwrench warranty process is not real, I filled the warranty forms and nothing came back, not even an email, I called them, apex which is the name of gearwrench company , their phone is out of service because technical issues, its been a bout 10 days, I called them many times, nothing, the problem i have a lot of tools from gearwrench, I will avoid get any thing else from gearwrench, I will get sunex, their warranty is real and exist.

Sometimes you will get a filter or a pipe yoi need to remove, and there is just not enough space, or the size of the tool is wrong.This basic strap wrench has saved the day twice now. So it definitely deserves its own olace on my tool shelf.
