This is a great choice if you are connecting to metalic pipe threads because the brass inserts will seal nicely with appropriate care (pipe compound, etc.) I have had bad luck with other all plastic units because they leak if loose and break if overly tightened.

I acquired two of these water filter housings and BOTH failed in the exact same ways. They leaked from the 3/4†brass connections no matter what I did to stop it.As a previous plumber, I removed and re-installed the brass connections to the housing three times using tape and dope without any change. I further confirmed that my pressure regulator was set at the suggested 50 psi (instructions only printed on box). The included cheap wrench for tightening also broke with just moderate force on each unit.Poor design, manufacturing, and quality control. Returned and replaced with a similar water filter housing from a reputable company that cost twice as much, but was solid/dry on the first install.

I got tired of replacing filter assemblies due to bad internal valves. Next time I replace a filter element, I will put in the Geekpure. For now, I can only say that it looks like decent quality. And no stinking rotary valves.

Under sink filter; 5 microns is good for drinking. 0.5 microns if one has well water.I had to beef up the plastic bracket with fiberglass tape and epoxy resin., for stiffness. Otherwise the filter would break off when unscrewing the canister.

This unit exploded at 70lbs pressure. Said tested to 90 lbs. Use only below 50lbs pressure.

Filter installed easily and works fine. However, the clear case developed a crack and began to leak about 11 months after installation. Contacted Geekpure and the responded immediately and have shipped a replacement casing. Will absolutely continue to use their products.

Bought this to replace another plastic filter without the brass ring inserts. Didn't have trouble with the inserts like other folks, but could not get the o-ring to seal. Looks like there is no grove for the o-ring to seat it, so it just blows out the side. Also, there seems to be no space above the threads for the o-ring to be, so the lower canister squeases it out of round.Another thing is the hanging bracket is weak plastic and any torque to screw the canister on or off will break it. I made one out of steel, but the holes in the top plastic piece are too small, so I am going to have to drill and tap them for larger screws.The lower clear plastic canister has a place for a smaller o-ring, but the upper black piece has no matching counterpart. I am beginning to wonder if I received a miss-matched pair.

I was replacing a larger unit I had that I didn’t need and it was hard to take apart. This one fit perfect in the space I had and easy to ensemble.

I bought two of these and one of the is still fine but the other cracked after maybe a month. It was not even in use at the time. Quality seems hit and miss.

Erstmals Filterpatrone montiert, der Schlüssel ist beim ersten Gebrauch gebrochen. Aus diesem Grund kann ich leider nur 2 Sterne geben.

fait bien le job, et le debit est bon. seul le support est un peu "leger" mais ca va.je le conseille.
