Speed ratio adjustment
- Press the black rubber button on the gauge for 3 second, then it enter into the speed ratio setup mode, if the button is released for 3 second, it exit the speed ratio setup mode, and automatically retain the setting data.
- After entering the setup mode, press the button, the value will be increasing and release the button, then press it again,the number will be decreasing;Adjust the ratio value to what you want, then release the button for 3 second, the digital automatic will automatically save.

Only had this 1 day, but works great so far. Easy to hook up. Installed on my boat for my Yamaha 9.9hp 4 stroke. Hooked up the 12v+ & illumination on gauge together to the switched 12v+ on my Yamaha (I have remote controls). One thing I didn't realize is the illumination is red, I was expecting white. No big deal for me as I will be swapping out the existing gauges 194 bulbs to red LED anyway. Alot of adjustments for the gauge accuracy up & down. Not sure if it works for 2 strokes as others have stated. Hoping it will hold up, we'll see.(Update) Thing is a piece of shit. Hasn't worked since the 1st week I got it. No matter where I adjust the settings the gauge is all over the place. I get the idle set then rev the motor up to 3000rpms & it shows 1100. So I set it at high rpms then let it idle & gauge shows 2500rpms or so at idle. Gauge bounces around all over the place while running also. I give up. GOOD LUCK GETTING ONE THAT WORKS! Maybe buy 10 of them & keep the 1 that works & return the rest.

These tachs went into my boat's dash easily. Calibrating them was sime enough despite the poorly written/translated instructions. The needles on the display lag behind the engine speed significantly. It's ok if you need a ballpark figure on engine speed but don't count on the readout if you're aiming for specific shift points while driving a manual transmission vehicle. These will do for now until I can spend the money on a better set.

Not VDO quality, but it does the job. The primary issue is a noticeable lag in showing RPM changes. It's not a big deal for my application (6BT Cummins Marine Diesel on ZF), but it may be a serious problem for others.

Replace the original tach in our boat that didn't have an hour meter, once got it tuned with pickup coil it works fine
