AC went out. One minute it was working and the next it was dead. Therefore, I assumed it wasn't the resister which controls the motor speeds. Then, I changed this relay, but no joy. Because these two parts are very difficult to access, take my advice and change the environmental control module (the control dials) first. It's very easy to swap out and it's the usual culprit. GM had a problem with them. Basically, you drop the wheel and put the gear shift in low to give you some play, then you pull the bezel that rings the instrument panel right off the dash. A flat head screwdrive on either side of the module frees the part. Good luck.

Our truck compressors use this part, when they go out very expensive from the auto ! $97.00 from the dealer!

The box it came in had GM genuine part marked on it, with a sticker P/N 19118886.The relay has part number 13789373 on it.When I contacted GM to see if it was a good cross reference, they do not recognize the part number!An internet search of the part number says it is a Deco part number.It appears the supplier is not suppling OEM parts.
