Perfect replacement for faulty parking brake assembly. Straightforward to install, comes with everything you need including parking brake assembly, pedal, release handle, wires and enable / disable pin - all pre-attached and ready to unstall. Took an hour to remove the failed unit and replace with this one. If you have a Chevy truck and your parking brake suddenly stops working, first check the pads on the rear rotors (parking brake pads, not brake pads) and check to see if your cables are still attached and not broken. While you are there, you might as well service the brakes anyway - inspect, clean them up with brakecleen, regrease etc.. If all that checks out OK, it is probably this assembly and the built-in tensioner that pulls the cable when you press the pedal. For a little over 50 bucks it is well worth trying it. Fixed the problem for me and now my wheels are locked solid with the pedal barely 1/3 of the way down.

The parking brake worked great. Make sure you tighten the brake line clamp on the side the comes already installed. Pulled through it twice tightening up the cable. Haven’t had a problem since. 4 months installed and through some cold winter days in alaska. Works great.

This worked on a 2008 GMC 2500 4x4 . We tried finding the oem part but it was no longer available in OEM or aftermarket. Took a chance and ordered this one which supposedly was not the proper part. Fortunately it worked.

100% direct fit, I just put it in today and I tell you I don't want to have to ever do it again. It is a bear for a big man to work under the dash. The only problem is the tight working space. A smale person can have this changed out in an hour with the help of a lift. It was delivered the day they said it would be here.
