Yes magnet is strong but you have to take off the metal piece and do yourself a favor and tape on a 2x4 lens that you would use for a pipeliner to save spatter getting on your mirror

Used for tig welding the top of a rollcage in a race car. Magnet is strong and mirror worked well.

seems overpriced for what it is, Therefore ding of 1 star, other than that it works, magnet is strong, mirror easily adjustable. a metal plate is magnetically attached as seen in the photo description, make sure you remove it before attempting to use,

The magnet is very strong & the swivelz allow me to point the mirror wherever I want. I'm the envy of all my welder pierz when I break this out! haha...tips: You won't regret buying a magnetic flashlight holder in addition to this. When not using it, I keep it folded up in a small tupperware in my gang box so that it won't get damaged. Also, be sure to buy a 10 pack of replacement mirrorz to have on hand~

Just glue a bigger magnet to the base and you can actually use itUpdate:I didn't realize the bottom shiny bar came off, magnet is alot stronger with it off

This is a must have tool if you need to work in space where you are unable to see such as wiring terminals, installing small parts, etc.The magnet is very strong and will grab hold of any steel object. I used it to work on starter solenoid connections located on top of starter in an inaccessible space.
