I asked a repairman who was working on my fridge at the time why the thermal fuse switch in my Kenmore Elite oven kept shutting off when I used the oven cleaning cycle. It was a real pain to remove the front cover and reach in to reset this switch every time I used the cleaning cycle. He said that the fuse switch was probably defective from the time it was new and that I should replace it. He was right. After replacing it, I have used my oven cleaning cycle twice and it works perfectly.
