As an 8th generation Honda Civic owner, you probably know that the included, shall we say, "noise-maker," that Honda wires up to the steering wheel pad is less automotive-horn-ish, and more clown-nose-being-squeezed kinda noise. Because while I have spooked multiple people pushing the lock button (it chirps the horn when you push lock on the remote, by the way), on the highway, when someone moves over into me, nobody has ever shown any signs of awareness, even when I lay on the horn. So, after much research, I decided that, for ease of installation, I would get a genuine Honda horn replacement since it would be plug-and-play. I got it, I removed the front bumper (unfortunately, that's what has to happen with the Civic to replace the horn), plugged it in, and I hit the steering wheel to finally see my handiwork...and it was beautiful. I heard angels sing from up above as this product was activated. It was a very empowering moment, and a very pleasing thought to know that I no longer have to work about being literally moved over into because someone couldn't even HEAR the puny horn that Honda felt would suffice. If you get it, your ears (and possibly even your insurance provider, God forbid something like that happens to you) will thank you immensely. Believe me, it's THAT much of a difference.

It functions well, but just is not very loud. Honda parts are always difficult to install, but this one was no more difficult than typical.

I bought this for my 2018 Honda Civic Touring Sedan which came with a 'beep beep' high pitched horn. This is a much lower tone. I'm incredibly happy with this product!
