I always go OEM for things like thermostats, although after I ordered I found an updated part number on Z1.com for a 170 degree thermostat for my Frontier instead of the 177-180 degree one but I just added a bottle of redline water wetter to the new OEM Nissan Blue coolant to drop the coolant system that extra bit. Just an FYI, add a small bead of permatex blue to the metal gasket, I don’t really like this gasket type over a normal gasket but I just added that for a little extra insurance. Oh and lastly torque spec is 8 ft lbs for all 3 boltsðŸ‘ðŸ¼

Easily fitted, no leaks, includes a metal gasket which needs a little silicone high temp sealant to make sure it’s not going to leak anytime soon. Box was a bit messy but the inside is what counts. Great part!

Had a remanufactured engine installed in my Nissan 2007 Pathfinder. It ran good from day one. However, the temp gauge would fluctuate between normal up close to hot. Not what I wanted to see after spending big bucks on a new motor. The engine had a new tstat installed when it was put in the vehicle. But it was not an EOM stat. Big mistake. It was not getting enough coolant flow. The aftermarket tstat has a little smaller opening then the Nissan tstat. The EOM stat I bought here works great. The temp gauge doesn't move above normal now. Take my advice...spend a little more. Get the EOM.

It's works just like the $20.00 thermostat from O'Reillys except O'Reillys won't charge $5.00 when you try to return it. Thankfully I have prime and that didn't do squat for me.
