I have several of these and usually take 2 or 3 basses to a gig. These are the best value. Decent padding and protection from the elements. It's not a hardcase. Good zipper. Good materials, Good workmanship. easy to carry 3 at a time. You wont be disappointed.

This is a really nice bag and a good value. It's slightly padded but not too heavy and the backpack straps make it easy to carry. Seems sturdy and will work perfectly for getting my bass to and from lessons. I like the pocket on the outside and the little strap that holds the neck in place while traveling.

I bought this bag for my son's Squire P-Bass, and it works quite well. Some people had complained about the zipper only closing at the bottom, but the manufacturer must have changed the design because you can close it wherever you want, as it zips from both ends and has a velcro strap inside to keep the bass from falling out. The bag is not thickly padded, so it's good for basic storage or carrying it around at school, or to jams, or lessons, etc. So for the price, it's a solid product that does what it's supposed to do.

Are there better bags? Absolutely! Is this one worth every penny I paid for it? Absolutely. It's not the best gig bag for your money, bit it's worth more than what I paid for it. It's sturdy enough to carry. It holds the neck of my bass in place. There is room for some of the extra crap, in pockets, you will Absolutely need to carry with you when you bring your instrument anywhere. It looks good, and if someone spills their beer on it, it wipes off. A few knicks and scrapes? No worries! It didn't cost a mint.

The zipper failed, I mean, the actual zip part of the zipper just completley failed on the bottom. There should be some kind of locking strap incase the zipper fails. Would have caused no difference in pricing.Infact I'm reinforcing the bag myself with my own materials.This was for school, this was my bass for music school. It broke on the way to school.Normally I wouldn't be so upset but, you're selling a product that us musicians need to rely on for our jobs.I mean it's one thing if my tool breaks at a construction site.It's another thing if my instrument breaks and causes a crowd of 1500+ to be angry and upset, professionals never calling me backThank god I'm in school and not on a gig.The honorable thing to do is buy me a new bass but I'll gladly take a refund.Edit:I stitched the broken parts back together, and, the buckle broke, and began to fall to ribbons before I replaced it.This only has good reviews because 1. Beginners 2. People don't actually walk/bicycle with it.
