The mats are very nice and look good, they are not waterproof and the description says this. They do the job that they were designed for, protect your table. I had to lay them on a flat surface with some weight to get them to stay flat as they come rolled up, but after a couple hours they were as expected. They do slide, so if you are looking for a nonslip mat you will want to look elsewhere.

Charming brown placemat are easy to clean and hold up well. I have them on my coffee bar and I get grounds of coffee and coffee drips on them daily and just use a wet sponge to spot clean. They look great and are saving my wooden bar from harsh damage that could be there if I did not have these placements.They have a casual style to them that adds warmth to my home. Very Pleased

These are decent placemats for the price. They can be rinsed off and they look nice. The only negative I have found is that some foods (berries) have left stains in the mats that do not wash out. I would have thought that a vinyl type mat would not allow things to permanently stain the mats.

On my stone tops in the kitchen u need something that helps hold the heat for your plate. The stone will suck the heat right out. These work great and can wipe off other a dishcloth or wash off in the sink Very durable
