This is a great bow that I use during my viola practice sessions. It's durable, keeps its shape, and feels comfortable. If anything, pairing this bow with a dark, cake rosin and synthetic-core strings (like Corelli Crystals) seems to work well in providing a warm sound. Using this bow with steel-core strings and a rosin like L'Opera Jade provides a bright and clear, sound--if you're into that sort of thing.
