I tested it by shorting it with a 6awg wire and the wire did get hot before blowing the fuse but no melting.The 8awg wire was really hot but threw the breaker before damage also.The rubber caps are worthless.

My Sunthysis 2000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter upgrade called for a larger breaker than the previous 1000 watt inverter used.I have purchased a few different amp rated breakers of this type, and they have been working well. A 300 amp for a solenoid disconnect to separate my starter and house battery in my pickup. Another 100 amp for my DC distribution panel, and this 175 amp for the mentioned inverter.

Bought this for installation for a car stereo. It seems to be made really well. Doesn't come with mounting hardware but i just used three #10 machine screws. Terminal nuts are stainless steel which is great.

The breaker installed easily… appears to be very good quality and construction. However, there is no short protection that prevents a short from happening such as a exterior rubber protective shield over the contacts. It comes with a very tiny rubber cap that really is a joke. I had to wrap the breaker in exterior Electrical tape. Which looks terrible. Great breaker quality but lacks the real world use case of exposed contacts.
