I got this for my 8 yr. old grandson for Christmas who is into football and wanted something he could throw at night as well. I aired up the glow in the dark football and it would not hold air after a few throws back & forth. The light works fine but without air it was very disappointing. I started a refund and wanted to get a replacement thinking maybe this one was just defective, but Amazon only offered refunds and to return it. I will have to look for another one instead of rebuying the same and hope the one I find stays aired up for him.

The ball is not inflated upon receipt but pump is included and it’s easy & quick to fill. Battery pre-installed. Button at center of ball clicks light on and off; has a nice soft glow; ours is a lightweight orange rubber football that has been fun outside!

It was nice to have everything included to unwrap, blow up and play! Size was perfect and not too hard not soft. Perfect!!

Got it and used it three times in one week. Just threw it back and forth for about 1-2 hrs each time. During the third use (standard throwing back and forth), it started deflating. Seems it got some sort of small hole in it from hitting the ground (?). I was able to blow it up again, but had to do that each time before each use and within 30 mins, it was deflated again. Poor material if it punctures after a few uses. But, while it lasted, it was super fun to be able to use at night, was stable in the air, a good weight, and worked great.

It has a fabric type cover, with a “crackle shape†rubber grip pattern over the football. We’ll see how long it lasts, but for now the ball is grippy and easy to catch.I like the fact that it has a on/off switch instead of the usual motion sensor.This is the smaller version so it’s great for little hands, or heroic father one handed catches.The color is random on what you get, but anything other than blue will work great.
