I replaced my CF years ago from a local parts store and ever since I sound like a school bus and has cooling issues on extremely hot days. My fuel economy also tanked. After being replaced with this GM all of that went away. It’s a great feeling not hearing the horrible sound any more. Recommend!

No more dump truck sounds. Aftermarket Napa/Oreilly do not offer what GM does a lower ratio clutch grab which reduces noice and improves MPG!

I ordered one of the cheaper fan clutches, and it was the loudest thing I’ve ever heard. It sounded like a jet engine was taking off every time I accelerated. I did a little research and learned that the OEM fan clutch was quieter so I ordered this one from GM and was very happy With the results. Truck runs and sounds as it should

Clutch fan very noisy, puts a lot of drag on motor and reduces power and wastes fuel.

It came in a plain box. Works well and pulls plenty of air. It's a little louder but works for now. Skeptical on whether it is actually a GM product or not.

This fan is correct for my 1999 silverado 5.3 lm7 engine. Please save yourself the trouble of buying the cheaper ones.

I had an interesting issue where my A/C performance was very bad at idle, but the truck wouldn't run hot. I suppose my old fan clutch was pulling enough air across the radiator and condenser that it could keep the engine cool enough, but not move enough air to dissipate enough condenser heat. This was an easy fix and everything is back to normal.The rudimentary tests that people suggest online for testing a fan clutch don't always work, but this was a reasonably-priced fix.
