2012 GMC Sierra 1500 was throwing a stabilitrack, ABS code, which caused the truck to go into a limp mode. Pushing in the accelerator would make the engine sputter and it wouldn’t go. Thought it was the speed sensors, but after changing those, the codes continued. Replaced the gas pedal with this AC Delco pedal and it fixed the problem. The pedal is better than original pedal that came on the truck, as it has excellent response and smooth acceleration. Worth the purchase and easy to change. There are two T30 screws holding the pedal in place. The one up top is harder to access, but can be done DIY without going to a mechanic. Simply unplug the cable, removed the screws, install the new one with the same screws and plug it in. Done!

My 2014 Yukon needed this; arrived quickly (one day) and was super easy to replace. Two 10 mm bolts -- one is visible, the other you must do by 'feel' as it is not visible. Need a universal along with your rachet socket to reach. One electrical plug, very easy.I could not tell a difference between the removed (old) and the replacement... appeared identical. If you have a GMC Product, this should work (check the fitment beforehand). High quality, did not take 30 minutes to install. WAY Less than taking to the dealer, which I'd estimate to cost $250-300. Do it yourself!

My truck was exhibiting strange symptoms that made it unpleasant to drive. There were times where I felt like I only had limited control of the speed. There were times I would pull out and it just would not respond at all. Then sometimes it would take off like a rocket. The transmission would shift hard or at random. The biggest complaint was coming to a stop sign at low speed. It would feel like I got rear ended, the transmission would downshift very hard and push me at the stop signs. I tried replacing the TPS and it didnt really change anything. I resorted to replacing the accelerator pedal and all my issues disappeared! The truck drives like new. Very smooth. Lots of get up and go when I call for it. No more feeling like I got rear ended. One other symptom was when I would stop to back up. When I would shift from drive to reverse, the engine would rev and the transmission would bang into reverse. That too resolved. I am very pleased. Great decision.
