I'm really surprised by all of the negative reviews, I found the kit to be as described. The thread didn't tangle and I actually had quite a bit left over when I was done (pictured). The stamped design soaked off easily in water. Some of the color choices are a little odd, but that's my only real complaint.It doesn't come with instructions because you really don't need any. All of the squares are stamped with a design that indicates a corresponding thread color. There's a paper copy of the pattern in case any of the designs are smudged on the aida (a couple of mine were like that).I had never cross stitched prior to this and I was able to figure it out and complete it in 4 months give or take. If you've never cross stitched before I would look up a beginners video on YouTube to get the gist of it before starting. Overall, I'm happy with it and I would purchase from this seller again.

Actually the colors are really bright on the charts, if they could tone that down a little it would be nice. Otherwise if you have vision problems you will appreciate the colors. Good thread, feels nice and will stitch well.

I am a beginner and this kit was moderately easy. (Don't think kids could effectively manage without a lot of supervision, as the description says it is for children and beginners). I found after some time spent on it, I ran out of thread. I did follow directions separating the strands from 6 to 3. This was difficult as the thread would tangle easily. I emailed the seller and they informed me that "there was enough thread with the kit and they do not supply additional thread." They did issue a refund through Amazon which I used to purchase additional thread from another company. Also the original description shows a picture that is deceiving with the size. It is not that big, but approximately 13x13. I am looking forward to how it will look when finished as this is my first time at embroidery. It is for me a little more difficult than I originally thought, seeing how I am a beginner.

I'm going to wait until I have it completely finished before I upload a picture of the results, but I wanted to go ahead and leave a review since it's been a few weeks.I've considered myself a beginner at cross-stitching, and I'd like to say that anyone else who is learning can do this one as well. It's more intimidating than it looks. It's the best cross-stitch that I've worked on so far, and I love everything about it. The details, thread colors, and layout is great. I'll say that it can be very distracting from anything else if you really get into it. It would be nice if it was a bit of a smaller size. But if you're willing to put in the time and the work, it's definitely worth it.
