About half of calipers I've bought show up with the outer pad off, it should be glued on. Half of the ones that are still on fall off after they get a little brake heat in them. Junk compared to Knott brand which is made in USA. Just more China made junk

I use this brake set up on all the yard that we build/restore, caution, it does require welding of the caliper mount to complete install

They’re brakes, your gokart WILL stop but if you have a kart that goes decently fast, they just don’t work very well it takes quite a long time to come to a complete stop, the brake pads completely come off the glue easily and are damn near impossible to fix, so I had to file a replacement. Not only that, the bolt used to tighten the gap between the pads comes loose often and makes it to where the brakes do just about nothing. Overall if you’re looking to lock your wheels just by hydraulic brakes these aren’t good at all.

I did not install the thing as choose a better brake system for my application part was fine though
