So filters at the very high end can get very expensive. At the low end, they are just complete trash. This slots in a good value range where you can get some REALLY good looking shots and play with different filters and have a good enough filter to allow you to find out which filters are your favorite. Then, If you are a professional photographer, you would probably want to invest in a more expensive filter to make sure there is nothing wrong with any of your shots.As an hobbiest photographer, I will probably just keep this in my bag since there are no easily noticable blemishes in my photos even when I look at them in lightroom or print them out.

I was looking for a good affordable ND 1000 10 stop lens filter and was glad when I found this one. I thought it was really cool to buy something I needed for my bag and plant trees....Reading the reviews I found many people complaining about picture quality; I didn't have an issue there. I found minimal vignetting, no problem shooting in live time or live composite (using Olympus OM-D) and the colors are great. The attached photo was taken in the afternoon, in Florida, and in harsh sunlight; in live composite- 2 sec x 24; over about four minutes. Using the Gobe ND1000, I was able to give the pond a flat mirrored look and you can see some tracers of light along the tree line or light painting effect that would look awesome at night. There's no issues with color change or image quality- the higher contrast is intentional. However, the filter is a little rough to screw or secure in place- it feels gritty and sounds rough- it's not as smooth as I'd like; overall, it's a good buy for the money, the cause is great, and it enhances photos while making it possible to achieve longer exposure.

This is a good 10 stop ND filter. My photographs frequently have water as part of the subject. This ND filter allows for long exposures and does not add a lot of color cast so the colors I develop in the image are natural looking. The filter threads on easily, snugly and it stays put. It is constructed well and comes in a great protective case. The foam in the case holds the filter snugly but has indentations that aid in your fingers being able to grip the lens to remove it from the case. This is important to me because I often will be changing filters in the field in areas of sand, mud, water, grass, forest floor etc. The lens stays put in the case and doesn't fall out and yet it is easy enough to remove when I need to add the filter in a hurry.

Easy to use, fast to put on the lens. I haven't seen an issue with vignetting or getting "the X" at any of the settings. Color shift is negligible. Nice addition to the a6700.

I was researching for a while to find a good ND filters for my landscape photography and in my budget. You can find some filters to be extremely expensive and others to cheap. This filter is in the mid range, but I can tell you that the quality of the filter and construction is like the high end expensive filters. Gobe has three options of filters for beginners, semi professional and pro photographers. Those are classified beginnersGobe Peak1, semi pro Gobe Peak2, and Gobe Peak3 for pro level so these options help you to chose according to your experience.I really like this filter and I’m adding two more from Gobe. Another thing that I really appreciate from Gobe is for every purchase they plant five trees. Nice gesture guys!!!

J'ai retiré une étoile pour la boite. Chaque fois que je l'ouvre, il y a un tas de poussière métallique sur le filtre. Surement du au frottement de la boite métallique quand on l'ouvre. Par contre le filtre lui même est top

perfetto, nessuna variazione di colore o aberrazione cromatica. basta calcolare i giusti tempi di esposizione, bloccare la messa a fuoco, mettere il filtro ed il gioco è fatto. il filtro arriva in una sua pratica custodia, con un panno morbido per la pulizia. Il vetro sembra di ottima fattura.Allego delle foto esempio. Spero tale recensione possa essere d'aiuto in fase di acquisto. Filtro super consigliato!
