This is a great tool for teaching kids responsibility and gun safety, safely! It looks just like the picture, the size is perfect for a teen or preteen, controls are in the same place as a real AR and function smoothly. We have only used it at ranges up to 10 yards, but it is accurate and a good value for the money. The quality of the laser isn’t great, but it works!

My daughter is into the Airsoft scene, so I got a gun to spend time with her shooting cans in the backyard. Her gun was about twice the price, but it has twice the performance over this one. The big difference is that hers shoots farther and holds twice the ammo. However, when moving to an indoor setting, the price of this one is the clear winner as long-range targets are less of a factor. On a budget, this is a good gun, especially if you are mainly in an indoor setting. Outdoors, where your targets are further away, this gun may not be the best choice, especially if your opponent has the advantage of a better gun with a longer reach.
