I have a 20 year old Daiwa Sol spinning reel that needed a new knob after the original knob basically disintegrated, I removed the old knob took some measurements and decided to go for it. The only thing I did different from the instructions was to exclude the bushing and it worked perfectly, I'm so happy because other then the old knob the reel is as smooth as the day I bought it, and now it's back to perfect.

I have 3 Shimano Ultegra 3000 reels I use for bass and snakehead fishing in Florida and decided to give these replacement knobs a shot. I now have them on all three of my reels. I tried the standard knobs (rubber) and also the cork. The cork is my favorite.On either, this knob adds a little length and since it's round, doesn't require orientation. Having three reels with the same shape handle/knob makes all my reels uniform... which I love. The knobs come with ball bearings that require adjustment through shims to get the end-play to zero, but the included spacer washers have different thicknesses to dial it in. You will need to be a little mechanical to do this since you will have to experiment with the spacers a bit, but once you do... you're done. And follow the instructions that tell you to add a bit of Loctite to the outer cap to keep it from backing out when you least expect it. Been there... done that. But I didn't follow the instructions the 1st time I installed one. No big deal.The only (slight) negative is that if you slime your hand from catching a fish, the knob (mostly the rubber version) will be slick for a bit. Not worth knocking a star off for. I love them and will have them on any and all new reels I buy.

This is the BEST Upgrade I have ever made on a reel!!Highly Recommend!!!They have various sizes I have 35mm on my 2500 & 3000 reels too.

Extremely light with dual bearing smoothness!Gives ANY spinning reel a beautiful Classic look!Do yourself a favor and use MAGNETIC tip micro screwdrivers! Smart to have both Phillips/Standard.Bent tip tweezers will help as well as a bright light to see down the knob to align the screw hole.As the instructions state, don’t use any shims to start. If base of knob is wobbly, use 1 shim. There should be great free spin with no wobble. No free spin? Too many shims.The most challenging procedure is getting the shaft to sit snuggly inside the top bearing!!! Then to hold it as you insert the screw to tighten.I liked this Cork enough to purchase 2 more for other reels.

The quality of the cork is great and they fit perfectly on my Gomexus power handles. They include all the hardware and extra parts that you need for the perfect fit and spin just as freely as any other Gomexus bearing supported knob. Another homerun from Gomexus--I have over 20 of their products now.

My son being an avid fisherman was pumped to order this product but he unfortunately didn't fully read the details and thought they came with 2 but that wasn't the case. Personally I think for the price they should. The actual product he loves and went ahead and ordered another one. Now that he has the two he loves them!

Put this on my stradic 3000 fl for inshore fishing, feels better than the shimano handle. Just caught a nice snook with it and it felt great. I'm going to be putting more of these on all my reels I use.I bought this with alot of reservations and figured it would feel like junk... I was wrong! Love it.
