  • 7. The ESC is workable.
  • 8.150A BEC Voltage Change: Turn off the ESC , connect short-circuit chip to BEC. Turn on ESC, and the motor will emit "beep". After 2 seconds, pull out the short circuit chip to the BEC. When the change of BEC voltage is completed, the motor beeps - "beep" (if be (the voltage is 6.1v, the motor beeps). If be (7.3v motor beeps twice), turn off BEC voltage change.

Troubleshooting

  • 1. If after power on , motor can , t work , no sound is emittedplease check the connections between battery pack and motor.
  • 2. If after power on , LED flashes , please check the voltage of battery pack , which should be from 5V-25.5V.
  • 3. If the motor emits a " beep-beep " tone Only ( BEC voltage 6.1V ) or If the motor emits a " beep-beep " twice ( BEC voltage 7.3V ) , please check all the connections : BEC wires , transmitter andreceiver , throttle signal wires , etc . please check the transmitter TH . TRIM and adjust it to the motor re-emits Beep-beep tone.
  • 4. If the car can't be speed up , please check either voltage of the battery pack is too low or the temperature of ESC is too high . If the voltage of the battery pack is too low , please replace the battery pack . If the temperature of ESC is too high , please check all connections . If not , please push the button EPA on your remote control.
  • 5. If the car stops suddenly while in working state , please check the motor's connections , and the road.
  • 6. If the car runs in the opposite direction , which the transmitter is available , please swap two wire connections between the ESC and the motor.

I bought this esc150 surpass the first one was bad out of the box. So they sent me another ran it for about 30 min when it just went wide open. It was on 6s so lucky that I was on an old airport and Batts was getting low. Finally got it going in circles and tried for 30 min to catch. Had 14400 mah Batts but the esc when we finally caught it the wires were so hot the solder was melting away. I was trying to get the top off but didn't get it off in time. When esc burst in to flames it was long the Batts shorted out too the whole thing melted down it was so hard to sit and watch some thing I had put all my time and effort not to mention the money I lost because of this esc.. So I warn anyone thinking about going the cheap route.. Don't make the mistakes I did.. It cost me Alot of money and has caused me to have to but the one thing I love to do on hold. Until I can save my change pick up pop cans what ever I got to do so I can buy me another rc! I loved my truggy and wouldn't have took a million dollars for but I cheaped out and lost out!

Running a 3670 motor with it in custom built volcano. Has worked ok so far. Have done short runs with 2,3,4,&6S. The fan blows volumes of air and keeps esc cool but is ridiculously loud and fan mount is a bit fragile, cracked it when tightening screws. You must buy the separate programming card, but is compatible with the “updated” version that give a couple more settings. One thing that drives me nuts, is I cannot find a way to calibrate throttle span. At about 75% throttle it jumps to 100%. Other than those few things it’s done what I’ve asked out of a budget controller.UPDATE: Still going strong. Fan is still ridiculously loud. Still can’t figure out throttle span issue lol. ESC cools down quickly and never seems to get that warm. Will put a thermologger duo on it when it arrives. For my 1/10 build 2200kva 3675 motor it has stupid torque, really too much. Seems to do best overall on 4S with loads of punch on level 1 and pulls wheelies at 20mph. Level 3-4 just breaks things. Of course 6S runs faster but doesn’t scare you when taking off full throttle like 4S. Still recommended for a basher, probably not for a track racer. Would love to see what a high end esc does someday…

There are more positives than negatives even though I lost a whole truck. Any questions please ask..The 120 version handles the 6s lipo just fine until i changed the pwm and thats when it exploded so that was my fault. BUT it handled over 25 full charges of a 6s no issue. No this 150a has caught fire each time the second I connect it to the esc. The 6s lipo is a 80c so not to high of a discharge.OK but heres the positive. This thing with 2-4s CAN NOT BE BEAT! It's truly amazing how awesome my truck just on a 2s with this. SO really If you need the 6s thats one thing. But I cant even max out that 4s so it's still my favorite ESC.

I purchased this for a conversion of an older 1/8 buggy for light racing and light bashing. It is well packaged and comes with pretty simple instructions.I removed one of the connectors and resoldered as I typically run one larger 4S pack. I also already owned the program card so setup was pretty easy for me.The fan is loud, but most of this style design are this way. It has decent punch when paired with the appropriate battery pack and temps were reasonable even on gearing that was a bit more aggressive (9.5-10 FDR with a 2050kV 4068 motor). The powerband is smooth minus a pretty strong kick at full throttle. Not sure why they chose this but not much you can do about this. Braking is strong but behaves a little strange if you have reverse enabled (with pause). It will brake when you first apply but if you try to let off and then reapply it tries to apply reverse (other brands do not seem to have this behavior). This can be remedied by turning off reverse, but does make bashing a little trickier.
