I am using this to help rebuilt a transmission. It functions well and I have had no issues with the quality. It is a bit unwieldy compared to the big expensive ones but it does the job and does it well.

I bought this tool to work on my 4L60E transmission. It works great to compresses the spring on the low/reverse piston to remove the snap ring in the rear of the case. Also works great to compress the spring and remove the snap ring on the reverse input drum. It won't work for the 3-4 input housing because there is no hole in the drum for the threaded rod to go through, so I have another tool for that. I added a couple of pictures of this tool on the reverse input drum, front and back.

Worked great but for a TH400 clutch drum that I encountered with no hole through the center it left me hanging. In this case I fortunately had a hydraulic press that I adapted with this tool to make it work on the clutch drum/piston with no hole through the center. The same could of probably been done with two C-clamps but this tool made it a little easier I suppose. One disappointment was I thought it should have come in a plastic case. However for $25 it is a great deal for a sturdy little tool that gets the job done the same as other tools that cost many times more.

Used to help me rebuild a Honda automatic transmission. This tool compresses the clutch assembly springs so the piston o-rings can be accessed and replaced. Simple tool that worked very well.

Clutch gears are a pain in the knuckles when you have to put back the loaded spring. A spring compressor is the perfect tool to save the day. This tool worked great on the smaller length clutch body but the longer clutch body was not going to happen because the bar is about 3 inches too short to be of use. If they made the bar longer this tool would be ideal for many clutch springs. Alas, I had to figure out a fix to finish the job. Hopefully, they will build a longer one that as more utility than the current design.

This tool saved me a ton of time and expense. Compressed the clutch springs with almost no effort. I would definitely buy this item again but judging by the quality of the tool it will probably never need to be replaced

It did a good job it would be better if the fingers were tighter on the cross shaft.
