We purchased another brand for our 7 year old for Christmas. It was a hit, and its held up. Well, the neighborhood kids she plays with also loved it so she was sharing so often that she barely got ride time herself. The other brand was sold out so we ended up selecting this one. It is just as great. It's charger recently stopped working so I've been using the other charger for both(I have to order another charger). The only downside I have is that 2 really isn't enough...hahaha. With the amount of 7/8 year olds on my street, we definitely need at least 1 more! The battery lasts better than expected for a relatively inexpensive electric scooter. We have had hoverboards that don't last half of the time these do. Definitely recommend!

The scooter is great! My five years old son loves it. The height is perfect for him. We have adult Gotrax scooter and we like it a lot. So we got a kid’s version for my son, who is obsessed with electric scooter. The weight is not heavy, light enough for him to carry on his own when not using. Overall, a great first scooter for kid.

This scooter was fairly easy to put together. The speed was just right for my 6 yr old. He absolutely loves it. He does have issues sometimes with foot placement to get the scooter going but that is not a big concern.10 months later and the scooter experienced some beeping issues while running. Had to reach out to support and Honey at Gotrax helped me solve our issue. The support was very helpful and timely. My son is now back rolling again with no beeping and he loves it. Thank you Honey! 5 out of 5 stars based on my son’s enjoyment but gave it 4 stars overall.

Pros: Cheap, decently quick for 80lb child, easy to assemble.Cons: Wheel lights burnt out after a week of use and it was not exposed to any water, doesn't fold for storage, far heavier than expected, has weird two-button configuration on flat part of scooter so if you have larger feet it's hard to operate.Got as a birthday gift and the kid is happy, although the light-up feature failed pretty quickly. The seller was quick to reach out and made it right which I was very impressed with. This was a 3-star review that I changed to 5-star because of the excellent customer service I received post-sale.

I was shopping for an electric scooter for my 4' 8" daughter. I almost considered buying a full size scooter, but they are really meant for kids 13 and older. In addition, there are many more controls which could overwhelm someone coming from an unpowered kick scooter. You can limit the speed to ~9mph, but it's easy to override if you have a curious enough kiddo. We looked at some options from razor, but they were either too expensive, or too awkwardly styled for my daughter's tastes. This is where the Gotrax GKS fit the bill perfectly. It is priced *very* reasonably for a well built electric scooter. Assembly was a breeze, four bolts to hold the front wheel on, and four bolts to undo and redo to put the handlebar on. I also like that the handlebar is keyed, so it self centers during installation. After that, we put it on the charger for the initial 5 hour charge. Well, we tried to wait 5 hours, but after 2 hours, the light on the charger was green, so I let her go for a quick spin down the street. Her first impressions:- Very easy to ride, the switches on the deck were easy for her to push down and required very little adaptation from how she used to ride her kick scooter.- Shockingly quiet. We both thought it wasn't working at first, but then she accelerated off with nary a whisper.- Acceleration is smooth. She was pretty happy with how softly it accelerates after you kick off it.- Easy to brake. Having a brake just like her old kick scooter made it easy for her to feel safe with braking.- Feel heavy. At 17 pounds, it's not light, but she doesn't mind the heft. It's a bit more effort when pushing around unpowered, but it does seem to glide fairly well. I'm glad we didn't go with a bigger scooter, from what I saw, the ones were were looking at were 27-30 pounds.- Looks pretty cool. She loves blue, and this has enough blue to make her happy. I even asked her if she was going to sticker it up, and she surprisingly said that it looks good as it is.We'll update this review over time once we get a better idea of battery life and reliability, but so far, we're off to a great start.

The scooter is sturdy and good. The battery life is not very good. It takes about 5-6 hours to charge and works about 40 minutes. The ride is smooth and quiet. I didn’t like that it doesn’t fold.

Good packaging, no any damaged on the product.Good thing: Battery life is longer than I expect. Easy to setup for first time.Bad things: Charger plug in protection plastic cover, it's come by self out when you riding. (I added picture of that area)On the left and right there is light reflection for night but why there is no any light reflection front side and specially back side for safety? My costumer pont is 4/5

I am very surprised with the quality of this item. I have only had it a few days and it has been hours of uninterrupted fun for my kids. The battery has lasted and has not died during use. They have not taken it on a long ride but have been taking turns up and down a short street (racing, doing figure'eights and circles etc (off an on the foot activated go button - slick design). They were super scared at the acceleration at first but got over their fear quickly and are having a blast now. Even my 5 year old daughter is racing around on this thing. The design is spectacular and the build quality is very impressive. This 200 dollar scooter is worth every penny and more. Honestly, I am so impressed I bought another one! Just a small note about the shipping. The first one I bought was not fulfilled by Amazon and took a month to get here during the covid-19 crisis. The second one I ordered (this one - the blue one) was fulfilled by Amazon and arrived in 3 days.

Our kid LOVES this scooter. Unfortunately even though it's not ridden much because we co parent and it rains a lot in BC, it stopped working. It would beep when trying to ride it telling us it needed to be charged and eventually it stopped working all together. When we plugged in the charger the light would be green showing us there was a full charge but it wouldn't work. We originally thought it was the charger so we bought a new charger and nothing changed. After a year of it sitting in the closet and then moving to another province and thinking about just taking it to the dump, I reached out to customer service. I should have done it WAY sooner when we first were having problems and it was still under warranty but I didn't.Mia at customer service was SO great with helping me even though it was way past the warranty they gave me a couple options to try and help. They ended up sending us a refurbished battery which arrived the next week to replace ours and the scooter now works again!! (I did have to wait until my husband was home from a trip to help me...but I had it charged and ready for him to reattach it). The kid is ecstatic let me tell you haha. I am super grateful of how kind and generous the customer service team was in helping us. Thank you!!!
