I was apprehensive about ordering this after reading reviews, but it worked great. I still think the part is too expensive, especially for plastic, but in the long run it was much cheaper than any other option, including replacing my faucet with a lower quality faucet. There are no directions, just a picture, but this isn't rocket science. I had no problem taking the old sprayer head off and installing the new one and it only took a couple of minutes. Since i had seen other reviews stating they had to order a new o-ring, I called Grohe when i ordered the spray head and they offered to send me a new o-ring that fits the replacement spray head at no charge. The installation picture doesn't show the o-ring, but it will be on the old part of the faucet that you are attaching the new spray head to. Just removed the old o-ring and slip the new one on in it's place. I haven't had decent water pressure in that faucet for a long time and now it works great! like getting a new faucet for $87!

This replacement handle is exactly what I needed because the old one started to fail. It was very easy to replace, BUT - and this is a BIG BUT - USE THE O-RING IN THE KIT!! I purchased what was described as the necessary replacement O-ring from another vendor which caused the faucet to leak down the hose into the cabinet! When replaced with the O-ring in the kit, NO LEAKS!! Solved.

This is an excellent replacement for the original Grohe pull-out which had sprung a leak along it's side. (Yes, it too was plastic) The new one is a little different in shape and design but actually better both visually and functionally than the old one. For north of a hundred bucks it shouldn't be plastic, but the plating is well-done and the finish is indistinguishable from the steel parts of the faucet. It took (literally) less than a minute to change this out. The page that comes with the part is worthless--if you need help go to the Grohe website. The flow restrictor MUST be used: it has the gasket that keeps the pull out from leaking. The white one is the higher flow. And you MUST replace the o-ring on the hose end with the one in the kit. It will leak otherwise--and you don't see the leak--it runs down the hose, through the faucet body and under your sink.

Excellent product, though a little pricey. The old handspray was about 20 years old and was squirting water through a tiny hole. I had earlier replaced the flexible metal hose without difficulty. This was even easier -- just screw off the old handspray head and screw on the new one. It is not a perfect match to the style of the older one, but it fits perfectly and is not different enough to look glerkish. I think Grohe fawcets are outstanding, particularly since replacement parts are easy to get. (Though as I said, pricey.)

We have had Grohe faucets in our home for 18 years. Grohe replaced the first one under warranty but this time they said it had been too long. The rubber inside of the handspray had fallen apart due to age, stopping the sprinkler option and lowering the water pressure coming out. This was an easy install and hallelujah! works great! I was skeptical it would fit since we didn't know if this was the right model but it's perfect. Our original faucet is between 5-10 years old.

This product is a little hard to come by as the basic unit had been discontinued. I am so glad I found it. I have limited space between the top of my counter and the bottom of the cabinets above them, so having this replacement allows me to rest knowing that I have the part should there be any problems in the future. The item arrived in a very timely manner and there were no defects in the packaging. Thanks for the prompt and efficient service.

In short, this spray head can be installed and it works and doesn't leak. But we had to use other customers' reviews as an installation manual vs. actual instructions which came with the item. The main things you will most likely struggle with if you are not a professional:1) The package includes the spray head plus a small bag with a black O-ring and 2 plastic inserts (one clear, one yellow/green).Question: Which part goes where?Answer: ONE of 2 plastic inserts (which are flow regulating valves) goes inside the black plastic tube of the spray head. You don't need to put both of the inserts inside the spray head. We used the clear one b/c of its larger opening (=stronger flow). Gently push it inside, the black O-ring on the valve will compress and the valve will slip inside, wagon wheel-looking side facing the opening (this is how it was installed in the original head). There is a stopper inside the spray head so you won't push it too far. You don't have to do anything else with the spray head. The black O-ring included with the package doesn't go inside the spray head.2) Try to assemble the spray head (screw it back to the hose). Most likely it will leak under the seal.Question: How to fix the leak?Answer: The replacement head for some reason has a wider opening than the original one. The hose still fits pretty snugly inside the black plastic opening of the spray head, but the fit is just not tight enough. Notice that the hose already has a black O-ring. Remove the original O-ring and replace with the included O-ring. The latter is a bit thicker. And it is just enough to ensure a snug fit of the hose inside the spray head opening. When we assebled the spray head again, it wasn't leaking anymore.Hope this helps.

Not sure a piece of chrome coated plastic is worth over $100, but I needed this to replace a broken spray head on my Grohe faucet and was most impressed by the speed with which it came.Ordered it one afternoon, was installing it the next, without leaving the house. Can't complain about that.Looks good, too.
