The pull-down hose on my 11 year Grohe Minta kitchen faucet broke and the Grohe support agent told me the model number of the hose (metalflex hose #46174). The price from Grohe parts department was slightly higher than from Amazon. I was nervous about the replacement procedure but after watching a couple of videos on YouTube, I decided to give it a try. This replacement hose is Grohe original part. It doesn't come with any instruction but following the instructions on the YouTube videos, it was really easy and took only about 20 minutes. The pull-down hose works well.

This is the genuine OEM GROHE product. However, be aware that your GROHE faucet likely has a lifetime guarantee. So call Grohe and see if they will send you the part for free. My faucet is 12 years old and they didn't ask me for any reciept or evidence of any kind.

An easy fix, fit and installed and fit perfectly. Better not to take a chance on a knock-off.

I'm writing this review in case someone else experiences a couple of twists and turns that I did. I purchased this replacement hose (Grohe 46 174) for what is currently called a LadyLux3 Cafe' Plus, Model 33 893 (Grohe Main Sink Dual Spray Pull-out), that was over 20 years old. It works fine and fits perfectly ONCE YOU FIGURE OUT how to remove the old hose AND install this one, AND which parts to re-use.First of all, you need to think about the order of doing things before you get too far along. It seemed straightforward at first: Before attempting to remove your old hose, turn off hot and cold water supply under the sink. The old hose is screwed into the quick coupler (the coupler appears designed to prevent hose twisting). Disconnect that hose by pulling down on the quick coupler under the sink (then unscrew the hose from the coupler and remove/retain the long spring from around the hose). Before you do anything more, remove the sprayer head from the other end of the hose at the faucet. This is when it gets interesting.I had to call Grohe consumer support to be reassured that the old hose could actually be pulled out through the faucet itself, inasmuch as it seemed to be catching on something. It took some wiggling, jiggling and gently tugging and twisting the old hose from above AND an extra pair of hands under the sink pushing the end of the hose up through the main, brass pipe to get it out. Importantly, the lady at Grohe explained that, for my model of a LadyLux3, I would also need to retain the coupling (at sprayer end) from my old hose and re-use that, rather than use either of the 2 female couplings that were included in the new package (they were not a large enough thread size). The replacement hose did have the threaded end to fit the existing quick connect end which was part of my Grohe faucet under the sink. To make sure I could thread/insert the new replacement hose back down the faucet, I made sure to use a bit of plumber's grease on and near the end to reduce friction when inserting it back down the faucet/pipe. Installation with my existing spring was straightforward from that point and took about 10 or so minutes. [Note: screw the new hose hand-tight-only (use no tools) onto the quick coupler - it won't leak. Then push the quick coupler onto the pipe.] I would suggest you try the grease (or Vasoline) trick before you take the more drastic separate-the-faucet-body-and-file-where-you-think-it-is-sticking measure used by one other reviewer.

If you're not familiar with the procedure, familiarizing yourself with the parts is essential. I also watched the Grohe video off their site.On my install, I re-used the old spring, the chrome nut off the old hose that connects to my hand-held faucet, and also the quick disconnect. I used a very small bit of Vaseline type lubricant to make it easier to seat the O-ring on the new hose to the hand held. The hardest part was getting my "quick" disconnect to, well, disconnect! It took a surprising amount of tug force on it after I'd released the sliding portion to get it to pop off, and be sure to have paper towels handy since any water in the hose loop will shortly be all over the cabinet floor.Dispensing with the advice to tape the old hose to the new or use a string, I found it pretty easy to extract the old hose, necessary to remove the old parts in my case. Most of it came right out except for the last 6" or so, that took some jiggling and little extra force but then it slid right out. And the new one, slid in from the top after moving the old chrome hand held connector to the new hose, slid right in with no difficulty. It's important to connect it to the hand held at this time, as I'm not sure if it would disappear for a bit into the faucet body or not.Once you seat the connected hand held into the faucet body, it's fairly easy to slide the spring back on, hold it in place, and re-thread the quick connect. It went back on easier than it came off. Turned the water back on, all was well. Definitely not worth a plumber at $100/hr. And, I got to throw away half of the accumulated products under the sink!

Having had two "value" brand hoses fail prematurely (one after only three weeks), we purchased this Grohe hose. Maybe too early to tell how durable it will be in the long run, but the metal sheathing on this Grohe hose is more robust than the value brands.
