Yes, of course we could use a toothpick! But these are reusable, millions of times over! How many trees are being saved by not using toothpicks? Idk 🤷â€â™€ï¸ but I love saving trees & these are sturdy & precise & absolute perfection.

These work well for the price and how many come together. Most of the ones I received work well for decorating cookies. I’m happy with those. I have one that broke at the place where the metal and the plastic connect the day I received it and another one that has a tiny hook at the end of the point that gets caught but it’s only noticeable when I wipe the frosting off of it, otherwise great product!

These are nice little scribing needles. I purchased them to use with royal icing on cookies, and they’re fine for that purpose. The tips are a bit sharper than I’d have liked, but it’s not a significant issue. The handles aren’t ergonomic but they are thick enough that it’s fairly easy to hold. I can tell that for long sessions they would become uncomfortable in the hand, but I don’t use them that way. They seem sturdy enough, and they held up well to being washed in a mesh bag on the top rack of the dishwasher.

This cookie scribe is exactly what I needed to make my decorative sugar cookies. This was my first time making them and this tool helped me achieve the look I was going for with ease. It’s a great value since you get 6 of them. My only concern about them is the way the handle is at the top like they cut the plastic so it is pointy and sharp but nothing like sanding it down with a nail file to help smooth it out! Other than that it’s a great buy and addition to any bakers tool box.

The pointy end is probably why you are buying these, and they are in fact pointy, so yay.The handle though, has a nice blunt end that's perfect for scooping medium and flood consistency royal icing onto cookies and filling in an area. My favorite YouTuber uses a cheap plastic craft paintbrush with the bristles removed and I think these work just as well and now you can use one tool for multiple purposes.
