This device is quite accurate. Repeatedly measured with a micro height, and the height is accurate to 2.0002 inches. The bulbs are quite bright as well and can be seen with the work light on in the machine without any issues. It comes with batteries and it takes 2 batteries. I would buy it again.

Wish it was made of stainless steel but otherwise works perfectly. Just keep it oiled between use.

I have had a few issues with the led not always wanting to work. I had to take the LED out a few times and mess with it. It's not the batteries!Stopped working completely now. For the kind of money they charge, this is poor quality. Should include an extra LED. I lost a day of work because of this.
