EDIT: PRO TIP! Lay two of them upside down next to each other and tape them with just painters tape or something simple. Then you can fold them up to make it portable, and when you unfold it they don’t come apart in the middle. I wouldn’t tape all 4 together but you could do that too. These 4 battle mats are quite nice. I bought a roll up mat in the past that I don't own anymore. Problem with the roll is that it's hard to lay it flat. These sheets are flat and thick - you wouldn't want to bend them or roll them up. That's perfect for playing D&D. It would be easy to tile these to have one big board, some masking tape on the bottom would probably hold them together. For markers, I went with "STAEDTLER Lumograph Non-Permanent Wet Erase Marker Pens" which someone else recommended in another comment. I left a mat out by accident last night, with a map drawn on it in several colors. It all washed right off easily with a little water and a paper towel.A nice feature is that you can prepare multiple encounters in advance using each mat, or combine them into one big map. The roll I had before was about the same total size but was much more of a hassle.Get some of these sheets if you're looking for a reusable grid for your RPG!

This grid map is in four sections which is great for keeping players in the dark for what's next as I can show one section at a time. A buddy GM had this for a dungeon I played in and it was so fantastic that I had to have it too! Solidly built. Dry erase comes off perfectly. Great value for price. Highly recommended.

These mats are extremely useful! Not only do they lay flat, but moreover, with separate rectangular sections, a dm can mix and match as needed based on the size of the encounter area.I bought 2 sets and have freedom to draw anything my dm'ing heart desires. They clean up easily with dry erase or wet erase.I'm enjoying the fact that they wipe perfectly clean without the need of any damp towels. All you need is a good dry eraser. I bought a cheap set of colored dry erase markers with little end-cap erasers that work splendidly.Highly recommended.

These battle mats are a great addition to any campaign. They helped with preparing rooms/challenge areas that were not overly large by allowing me to get them drawn out ahead of time and easily place them over a standard map. They also work really well with buildings/structures that have multiple floors. You can prep a tower easily. It is also handy if your adventuring area is going to have some significant change or perhaps a large vehicle that you would prefer to overlay on top of your primary map.PROS:Good ConstructionEasy to Draw onEasy to CleanSturdyCONS:Would like them just a tad biggerBecause the edge squares are cut in the middle (IE not on the gridline), it lowers the usable space around the entire matSUMMARY:These are a great addition to any campaign and will help to save time on gameday.

These mats have worked well, and I like the ability to use multiple to make a larger map when needed. They clean up well after use. I haven't noticed any staining from the wet or dry erase markers that I've used.

These are flexible tiles that can be used to map ahead of time. Dry erase pens work well. They are heavy, which is not a problem. Great!

No hay mejor forma de hacer feliz a un DM que regalarle esto.

I bought this for a new miniatures game I started playing and the boards are perfect. The movement is in inches so the grid works perfect for this. The boards are very sturdy and can be packed easily for transportation. Highly recommend.

Maps are in great shape, heavy enough that they don't slide around by accident and erase easily, together they make a very good sized map. Would recommend
