This is an extremely well designed CD/DVD player. Many of the extra features may not be all that important by themselves but when you add them up, it's a really superior package. You can see in the first video, that the player plays a DVD very smoothly with only one USB connection being used (for both power and video in/out -- see pic #3).In the video, I draw your attention to the fact that the red activity light is only flashing occasionally which means the player isn't being overburdened by what it's reading. In pic #2, it has a very nice, tactile veneer on the top that makes it easy to hold on to. The disc eject button is easy to find and use (pic #5).Similarly, in pic #4, on the back it's got very nice, tactile rubber feet to keep it steady. This is a big plus: the USB cord has a holding space on the back of the player. Most other outboard USB players, you have to go find the specific USB wire that came with it. They are frequently mini-USB (not micro) on one side and they have double type A USBs to get enough power to run the player and bandwidth for the video. This player does great with one USB port being used. Also on the back and in pic #3), you should be able to see it gives you the choice of using it as a Type-A or Type-C USB connector. Finally, in pic #6, it comes with a very nice carrying bag so it doesn't get all scuffed up in your briefcase or backpack.

I wanted this device to transfer old home videos from my GoVideo (VHS and DVD Player Recorder) directly to the Mac using Quicktime Player to capture the movies. I spent much time trying to decipher the vague manual, I wondered if I needed to acquire an external power supply to run the capture device, it was not fully needed and I still do not know what I should use for an external power supply. I did work well for my short movies, but, I want to make sure it captures at the best possible quality. I will have to rely on other reviews to see what other people use. Good product thought.

As a streaming and podcasting specialist, capture cards are a regular part of my day. I have spent hundreds of dollars on many different kinds of capture cards and I am very thankful to say this card not only stands toe to toe with the big boys, but the colors look great and I don't see any gitter. Now, as far as I can tell, though this card claims to do 4K, I do find that it seems to be down-sampling the 4K to 1080P. So while it is able to accept 4K footage in, it seems to be converting it before it gets into the computer.Everything is plug and play and it will definitely stream smoothly. Lag is very minimal (Yes, there is lag, but there always is). So far this is totally worth the money. Great win, great product.

I got this so I could display HDMI video on a tablet or laptop. I have a couple headless computers that are normally controlled via Remote Desktop or VNC. But occasionally I need to hook up a monitor to access the BIOS or troubleshoot. Its a pain to lug around a monitor for this. The USB video capture did this with amazing ease. On PC I used OBS Studio to display the video, it works like a champ! It works on Android as well with USB Camera.I still need a keyboard and mouse, but I have a small keyboard with track pad that's pretty easy to carry. I didn't need external power for either laptop or tablet, although this might vary. This thing is nicely made, inexpensive, and a lot cheaper and easier than a monitor. What's not to like?I think it would work very nicely for recording or broadcasting from a pc.

I had a difficult time getting this Guermok HDMI to USB 3.0 C/A Video Capture Card set up, as the instructions are extremely lacking and difficult to follow. I finally got it up and running and it seems to work really well for my streaming setup. There is some lag, but nothing too terrible. The device seems well built and solid. All the connections are good a tight and look to be quality material. I like that it came with a USB-C to USB-A Adapter, so I can connect it to my older computer. The picture from HDMI is very good, although there does seem to be a down sampling from 4K to 1080p. This will work for my purposes, though. The price point seems pretty reasonable, considering the quality of the unit. I highly recommend this video capture card, although I have to deduct 1 Star for the fact that the instructions are nearly useless and very hard to understand and that it took so much to get setup. So I will give it 4 of 5 Stars.

I have a live streaming setup that has a virual switcher on my computer. The one thing I never was really happy about my set up was I had no way of being able to see the multi-view without bringing with a 2nd monitor. When I saw this HDMI to USB adapter, I had a great idea that is working out well. I have been able to use the HDMI output of my switcher to feed into this adapter and using OBS studio, displaying the multi-view on my laptop. This will save me the hassle of bringing with a 2nd monitor every time I do some video production thereby making my life easier. The device has worked very well and the price of it is very reasonable too. I can see other uses of being able to bring single cameras our game systems into my computer for recording or even as a webcam for live meetings.

Works as intended. It let's me use my Sony Handycam as a higher quality webcam when using OBS.The footage did freeze once when I was first testing the capture card which raised some concern. I haven't seen it happen again so it might have been user error.

The video capture card is well made with a metal case and good quality connectors. It was easy to set up on my PC. The driver was automatically loaded as soon as I plugged it in the the USB-C port. It's small compact and easy to take when travelling. I connected it to a satellite receiver outputting 1080P HDMI output. After watching a couple of youtube videos I was able to set up OBS to play 1080P, 60 frames per second video and audio with excellent results. Since I am using a desktop I didn't test the 100W charging feature. This is a great video capture card for everyday use!

I previously purchased a Guermok USB 3 capture device and have had no issues with it at all, and it's been excellent for recording all sorts of content or just using another PC as a monitor.I noticed this was available with USB power passthrough which is always useful, so I picked it up.Build quality is great - all metal construction, cable feels sturdy. Comes with a USB A adapter too which is a nice bonus.I tested the power passthrough and it worked great. Annoyingly I have misplaced my 100w power cable so I was only able to test it up to 60, but that worked fine.Plugged it into my 16" 2023 M3 Pro Macbook Pro which detected it immediately. OBS had already picked it up and it worked perfectly. I've tested it from 1080p inputs all the way down to 720x480 (NTSC DVD size!) and it doesn't skip a beat. For a laugh I tested it with my XP machine and it was absolutely fine with it.Latency is very good too - it does have some, but it's so low that you could get used to it after a bit. I don't even think you would need to adjust synchronisation for live streams and such, just leave it as is.Overall it's a great bit of kit and I'm glad that good HDMI capture devices are so cheap these days, and have come along SO much since the original Elgato and so forth!

5 Sterne
