Cheap, Chinese, Crap. Never worked from the moment it showed up.

This product is amazing. I got one last year just before big duck and it worked just as it should. Even on calm water days it added movement to the spread. The one I originally got fell off when some rough water hit the decoy or honestly I might of forgot what one I put it on and it fell off as I was picking up the decoys. This year I decided to buy two more and with some left over rigging I solved the problem and don’t have to worry about it falling off. The C battery last about 3-4 morning hunts tell about 1030 added constant movement even in the coldest of water here in Kansas. If your just getting into duck hunting or a hunter that their spouse will kill them if they find out how much you are spending on decoys this is a must have. Lastly they fit on any decoy with a keel and the little motors have enough to even push around my goose decoys. Don’t waste your time or money on a jerk rig get these save yourself the time of setting it up and the missed opportunity of using get these just clip them on set them in the water and watch them work!

Have used 3 of these regularly throughout the late split of our duck season (5ish weeks) and all are still in good working condition. Moves a standard size mallard floater well. Battery lasts 1-2 morning sits, depending on length. Based on online feedback, I tossed the flimsy looking clips and zip tied the motors directly to the decoy keels instead. Rigged using 4’ of 30lb monofilament fishing line with large snap swivels on each end, which seems to allow good movement and minimize twist/tangling. Let them sit between uses with the halves separated to dry out, especially below freezing as they can ice up internally. Overall a great way to get some motion in your spread without fooling with a jerk cord, plus you can buy 6 of these and a 6pk of floater decoys for less than the cost of a single pre-fabricated swimmer decoy.

We put this motor on one of our mallard decoys. On the first hunt with this motor we lost it immediately. The orange clip broke off when i tossed the decoy into the middle of the spread. I would not recommend throwing the decoy with this attached to it. Maybe it was me… maybe it was this product…. I expected a little better quality out of something made for duck hunters.

After 1 use, the batteries rusted out inside the device. This unit is not waterproof as described. It also barely moves the decoy for a few seconds before binding up. The orange clip is worthless and does not fit any of my various decoys. I thought it would be a cool feature on the decoys, good idea but bad product.

These might be ok for totally flat water, but if your in a current, they probably won’t do much. C battery lasts about a few hours, after that the motor is too slow to do anything.
