My husband gets annoyed every time he sees news tools show up and ordering these "useless" things was no exception. However, the very next day we were working on a motorcycle in the garage and he dropped a screw deep into the engine compartment. How happy to do think I was when I immediately came over with the perfect tool for the job. The bendable magnet is perfect for when you don't have a straight line sight to the item and the magnet on the other is incredibly strong. Plus you get to be the savior of the garage project when your "useless" tool saves the day. Buy this. Your ego deserves it.

It does not have the surface area to maintain the peoper grip, even for a bot or nut.

Bends easily and gets to hard to reach spots, very weak magnet though.

From the pictures, I guess I was expecting something akin to a limp noodle with a magnet similar to the one on the extending one. But it’s actually fairly stiff, like a 14awg solid copper (I have no idea what’s actually under the sheath, but the feel is close). I was trying to show it held straight out horizontal in the picture. That’s actually useful, because i can bend it into the shape I need to get where it needs to go to grab what it needs to grab. And the magnet on the end is tiny (about 1/8th inch), which makes it good for sneaking into tight areas. Which is why one needed this tool in the first place.Feels like a quality tool that will hold up. Just about perfect for the job.

This worked good to reach a bolt that I dropped. I was able to bend it to reach around an are I wouldn't be able to get with a straight magnet. Good quality but I wish the magnet was a little stronger.
