I got this since I'm having a new roof put on my house. I don't want any nails getting up in my lawnmower from the grass mowing or have them on my driveway and get into my car tires. this is a powerful little magnet. I'm only 5 foot two so it's a perfect size for me. It's done a decent job and picking up the nails that I have found but it has to be close for the nail to jump up onto the magnet. I just put it across the top of the grass to get those nails that fell through. Fun to use!

I had a small telescoping magnetic pickup tool that broke. In looking for a replacement, I saw the price on this set that had three addition tools and decided to order it. After receiving them, I'm not disappointed. The lengths and magnet strengths are very good for how they will be used.

I originally ordered these to be able to retrieve things dropped in small spaces around the house. However, they came in handy for the most unexpected task. My son had shoved a round pellet in his ear that was almost the exact size of his ear canal (no rolling back out). Thankfully the pellet was magnetic and didn't cause him any pain. I tested the tool's strength with another pellet and it had a very strong pull. So using the smallest tool, which was smaller in diameter than his ear canal and the pellet, I slowly moved it into his ear, then BAM, the tool caught the pellet and it was safely removed from my kid's ear. Avoided a visit to the ER or ENT specialist.

This item was inexpensive yet very good quality and the magnets are powerful. The handle sizes vary and are all telescopic. There is a magnetic pickup sizes range from tight quarters to larger accessible area. Definitely worth the investment. Also the magnet tray i very useful for holding screws, nails, etc. Would recommend.
