Hahnemuhle Velour is an artist-quality 260gsm pastel paper which is both acid-free and archival. It is composed of an acid-free backing sheet which has been coated with inert synthetic fibres. This gives the surface a velvety feel which has sufficient tooth to hold soft pastel colour, as well as oil pastel, charcoal or soft pencils.
Because Velour can hold a lot of pastel, it is perfect for painterly pastel artists who create works with soft edges.
This gummed pad measures 24 x 32cm and contains ten sheets. The sheets are of 9 different colours: white, medium grey, yellow, orange, dark grey, sand, ochre, light grey, and black.

The paper is great. But I ordered a single pad of ten sheets and it came in a four-inch deep box with a gazillion air packs. Totally unnecessary for a pad that has a rigid cardboard back.

I was hoping for a little more heavy duty. Doesn't hold up with any sort of ink on it. But it does work well for pastel as it is stated.

This is specialty artist paper to be used for fine art. It needs to be pristine. These papers were put into a soft sided bubble wrap envelope with no stiffness to protect the paper. Several sheets had come loose, indicating the glue was old. The corners are mashed up making these very difficult to imagine working with. I contacted Amazon and the company and they asked me to give them a few days. It’s been over a week and I’ve heard nothing. i’m frustrated as I was planning to use this paper already. I would like a refund or resolution.

Falta na Amazon um campo para avaliar o vendedor, este produto foi vendido pela Amazon, um produto caro que chegou amassado por falta de embalagem adequada. Veio num saco plástico sem proteção. Dou uma estrela para Amazon.Sobre o produto é a primeira vez que uso este papel, sempre usei os papéis convencionais para pastel seco, estranhei muito, pois é como pintar sobre uma camurça. Nunca fiz uma pintura a pastel sem esfumar, este papel não permite isso. Muitos artistas o recomendam com louvor, mas eu não me adaptei. A única vantagem que vi é o fato do pigmento aderir bem e não necessitar tanto de fixador. Pra mim achei o custo beneficio muito ruim, acho que não compro mais. Continuarei testando pra ver se me adapto, mas o fato de ser muito caro pra nós brasileiros, me desanima.

This is wonderful pastel paper. My only complaint is with the packaging. One corner was slightly bent during delivery and this is really unacceptable for the price of this paper.

Compré este producto porque estaba rebajado. No he trabajado con esta superficie, y por el precio me pareció buena oportunidad para experimentar. Los tonos del papel son bonitos, pero el papel es delgado, lo que me hace pensar que no funciona muy bien con medios húmedos. El paquete llegó antes de la fecha, asà que en general considero que fue buena compra
