Yes, it works great.Super simple just 2 buttons (read and write) and it copied cards for multiple systems and each time it worked for both cards and tags. Must buy! Saved a ton of money.Yes the cards you copy have to be 125hz which are older ones but mostly commonly used in USA.

I regretfully share my experience with the Riversmerge Handheld 125kHz Copier RFID Smart ID Card Duplicator, which has left me thoroughly disappointed and compelled to rate it one out of five stars due to its inefficiency and poor performance.**Performance and Reliability:**My expectations for this copier were unfortunately not met. The device consistently failed to duplicate RFID smart ID cards accurately. Despite numerous attempts and adjustments, the copies produced either did not function at all or were unreliable in operation. This unreliability renders the copier ineffective for its intended purpose and a source of frustration.**Build Quality and Design:**In terms of build quality, the copier feels cheaply made and lacks durability. The materials used seem flimsy, and the overall design does not inspire confidence in its longevity. The buttons and controls are not intuitive, complicating the operation further.**User Experience:**Using the copier proved to be a cumbersome and confusing experience. The instructions provided were unclear and did not effectively guide me through the duplication process. Adjusting settings and troubleshooting issues proved futile, as the copier continued to deliver subpar results.**Value for Money:**Considering the investment made in the Riversmerge Handheld 125kHz Copier, the lack of functionality and reliability makes it a poor purchase. It does not fulfill its primary function of duplicating RFID smart ID cards accurately and efficiently, resulting in wasted time and money.**Conclusion:**In conclusion, based on my experience, I cannot recommend the Riversmerge Handheld 125kHz Copier RFID Smart ID Card Duplicator. It falls short of expectations in terms of performance, reliability, and usability. For those seeking a reliable device for duplicating ID cards, I would advise exploring alternative options with proven effectiveness and positive user feedback. This copier does not deliver on its promises and fails to provide the necessary functionality for practical use.

I figured all of these readers were the same, but I was wrong apparently! I bought a cheaper one from eBay. It would not read any of the parking pass cards I had, and I was positive they were 125kHz cards. That reader only beeped once when turning it on. This one beeps 3 times when turning it on. Tried exactly the same cards with this reader, and it read every single one of them perfectly. All of the clones work perfectly. You can scan a key fob and make it a card, or vis versa. It did not working on my building pass, which is NFC, as expected (different frequency). The beeps are what matters apparently; the number of beeps must be code for what protocols it actually supports. If yours beeps 3 times when you turn it on, then it should have no trouble copying 125kHz cards, unless they're encrypted.

Condo complex wants $25 per fob if we want additional fobs. For onetime cost of less than half the cost of one fob from the HOA I can make as many as I want for almost nothing per fob. Renters of our unit always loosing them so this is perfect.

The product is cheap enough to make it worth the purchase however, don’t be like me and wait to test it out after the return window closes. It didn’t work for my card and I tried several times. The best I could get was a busy signal light.

Where I live we have a common clubhouse as well as the main gate uses key fob to open. I researched the brand and from their web site found out my existing key fob uses 125MHZThis tool was very easy. Put your existing key fob to the "Antenna" area of the tool and press "READ" Then take one of the supplied key fobs, press it to the antenna area and press "Write" Boom done.I also was able to copy my key fob code to the supplied key cards. So now I have key cards also. I know that the code on all these things is my personal code, so not to give out to anyone I don't trust - but it's great having extra fobs.In researching this tool, there are a ton of different security methods key fobs and cards use. This tool is either going to work great or not at all. Yet for under twenty bucks it was well worth it for me. As the cost of one key fob copy is $25 down at my local big box hardware store.

After about 40 attempts, the device was able to read my FOB, but after over 100 attempts, it would not WRITE to a blank FOB. Its junk.

This product didn't work for us. It beeped to say it read the fob, then beeped to say it wrote on the blank fob, but then the newly written fob didn't work as expected. We could only get it to "beep" for one of the blank fobs provided. All of the other blanks didn't seem to do anything. Maybe the frequency of our fob wasn't right for this device, but regardless couldn't get it to work.
