Very sharp, used to clean up guitar bridge pin holes after bridge reglue. It is a keeper, nice addition to luthier tools.

This is a specialty tool that I won't use very often. I needed to enlarge the bridge pin holes of a guitar. I bought this because it was inexpensive and I was able to use it for purpose intended. The metal is not finely machined so if you need this on a production basis, I'd look elsewhere. One good feature is that you can load this tool into a drill bit chuck, but I just used it by hand because I was fine tuning an existing hole.

I used this twice on cold steel, which it should handle easily and it was completely destroyed. Very poor quality steel for this tool.

I've used this to ream wood easily, but I also have used it for plastic and 2mm steel. The blades have remained sharp enough for continued use - great quality metal.

Used it to expand pegholes for tuning machines in a guitar headstock. It worked great for this with minimal effort. Very happy.

On the plus side these are affordable and better than nothing.The biggest disappointment with this is that the cutting edge is not ground all the way to the edge. Most of the cutting splines are rounded over and the cutting edge is not sharp.This is not an easy item to sharpen.They were also packaged poorly being just tossed in a bag along with the metal handle causing nicks in the cutting edge under shipment.Just like a dull drill bit, you can use them, but don't expect a clean cut.

Important: start with short half turns checking progress after each turn until you hit the sweet spot. I'm a Lutherie now, LOL. 100% recommended. I have no complaints with this product.

Really nice product. I have a number of guitars and poor fitting bridge pins are a pain. This reamer cleans up the hole perfectly.
