These sleeves block heat and burn throughs. The creases catch stuff and can still burn through. Lots of time to react. The cinches aren't too tight, and have loosened on my upper arm as needed. It'll probably go limp one day but it's been very nice compared to others that are too tight.

I like them but the elastic broke in one of the wrists. Isn't much else to go wrong. Had great communication with seller who offered to replace or refund.

I work in a huge kitchen with multiple fryiers and while putting chicken into the grease, it would splatter on my arms and cause burns that I would have to treat with an expensive emergency aloe that costs nearly $8 per 4 oz bottle!After using this for a week, I'm happy to say I love them! They keep my arms cooler than the surrounding hot air in the kitchen that I actually was thinking of trying to find a jacket made out of this same material so I could stay cooler in the kitchen!I absolutely love these!

The sleeves are baggy but are held in place by the cuffs. These are not a tight fitting sleeve.However, these are perfect for when I am doing soldering work. I don’t feel the heat from the:Open flame,hot surfaces from the copper,Molten solder,Hot flux,I usually am soldering in tight places or nearly directly above me or my arms.Since I have bought these I no longer am worried about burning myself, and can work comfortably.I guess the only thing that I probably would change is the baggy material. However since I have noticed that they are not catching on metal. I wouldn’t change a thing.
