Almost exactly what I needed. There is no mark to indicate inside measurements. I guess I can subtract 3/8". But it does the job. Small and handy.

Nice materials but the lines are stamped into the material with a worn out die. Lines are too broad to read with any accuracy. Vernier is almost useless. Could have been much better

Not the worst purchase ever but not the best either. Probably shouldn’t complain much considering the price but the mark to read your measurement seems to be off by about 2 mm. It is a great size, lightweight and easy to use but not super accurate in my opinion. Someone else mentioned the markings being odd, like having 2/4 instead of 1/2 and mine is like that as well so it can throw you off if you are not paying attention.

This is a great set of calipers that will fit in your bag and be there when you need it. The only criticism I have is with the quality of the finish on the edges of the item, but this is very quickly remedied with some sandpaper, and mine now look like quite an expensive little item.I noticed that another reviewer was upset that the centerpiece came with a bend in it, but I would suggest that this is a feature which provides spring pressure that helps the centerpiece to not slide freely. To slide the caliper jaws simply put your thumb on the knob, press it to get rid of the bend, and slide to the desired width.The numbers on my enter stamped deep enough to read easily, and the movement is passable. I may or may not put some grease on the rails so it slides more smoothly, but honestly I don't think it probably needs it.My main criticism is at the solder joint which attaches the jaw to the centerpiece is not very attractive.This is a cool, quaint little item, and I'm going to be putting it to good use often.By the way, if you didn't know, this will measure accurately to a tenth of a millimeter. What you do is you read to the leftmost mark to see what the full millimeter count is, and then you count up tenths until one of the notches matches on the centerpiece perfectly-- that corresponds to the 10th of a millimeter and explains why the smaller gradations are a different size than the centerpiece.

Got this for measuring various drill bits, screws, and other small home reno stuff and it was perfect for that. Pleasantly surprised that it's made in Germany. Was expecting some cheap flimsy thing from China but this is solid quality - feels like it will last forever.
