Review for Hanging Closet Rod, Stepless Adjustable Width and Height Closet Rod Extender.You get 2 hanging rods. They are expandable. You can use the rods separately or together.There are little buttons on the end (that you can press in) to hold the strap in place so that the strap doesn't slide off of the rod's end. Unfortunately, the strap on one side of each rod is not pre-attached. If you don't have good hand/finger strength, the strap can be difficult to attach to the rod, as they use a spring loaded button on the end of the rod to keep the strap from sliding off. The loop on the strap is a tight fit on the rod. You have to really push down the little button and get it totally flat to slip on the strap. It took multiple tries.Make sure that you pay attention to which way that the hook faces when you attach the straps. I had to redo my first strap, as I put it on facing the opposite way.The rods work well if you have smaller closet rods. The hanger part isn't quite big enough to go around my older wood closet rods. You can hang them one below the other, as the hooks can go just inside the buttons on the rod above it.I didn't need to expand these fully out, so I can't review that feature. However, they seem sturdy enough when not expanded. They don't have a way to keep them from expanding out (or shrinking) further, other than the weight on the hanging straps. I would have preferred to adjust the rod to a fixed width (using one of those little spring buttons like they had on the ends) instead of the rod not having any locking mechanism to keep it from sliding.

I needed to replace the typical metal hanging rod and found these. I love that they’re made of super heavy duty materials and feel like they’ll last much longer. I’d recommend.

I have mixed feelings about these closet bars. I appreciate their adjustable height and width. However, I found them quite difficult to assemble, as they lacked instructions. While the assembly process is relatively straightforward, inserting the nubs to secure the hanging bar proved challenging, requiring multiple attempts. Attaching the fabric belt also caused some soreness to my fingertips. Once assembled, though, they are easy to use, hold hangers well, and their adjustable height makes them versatile for various garments. In short, they function well, but the assembly process was quite difficult.

It is exactly what I needed for a temporary fix. Might be a little disappointed for a long term solution.
