Works great in the aquarium and cleans well. Easy to use and great value. I bought the large size and it is pretty good in size for my 75 gallon tank.

Tried the standard plastic meter and microbubbles and inconsistencies drove me nuts. Opted for a refractometer and it was ok, but I had to calibrate it before every use and sometimes with my eye site it was a pain to use. I opted for this as it was straight forward calibrating it once and it takes seconds to get an accurate reading. This should be the first choice over the others. It costs a bit more, but you get it back in ease of use and assured accuracy for your tank.

First and foremost - this tester said my saltwater tank water had a salinity of 40 and a density of 1.030, though my older tester said 35 and my refractometer said 1.025. I tried to calibrate the new tester, but (1) the instructions are in tiny print, so it's hard to read, (2) you have to open the battery pack and press an invisible button with a tool that isn't included in the package, (3) you have to transfer the included calibration fluid into a beaker that isn't included in the package, and (4) the tester said ERR when I did all this. When I tried reading the 35 ppm calibration fluid, the tester was all over the place, and nowhere close to 35 ppm. What a frustrating experience.

My kio pond has started to become problematic after 21 years of fish. I needed to check on my pond salinity and other chemicals. I bought this unit as the old liquid salinity test kits are hard to find and apparently has some harmful chemicals in those kits. This is very easy to use and appears to be very accurate. It comes with a test sample of a known solution to verify the instrument. It has worked well for me.

Love the unit ... calibration fluid you should order as your ordering the unit as you absolutely need them for calibration ... easy to use once you figure it out which I would suggest the you tube video which is more helpful than the Manuel .. overall very accurate except for temp

Product arrived Brand New and in its box everything was sealed. Easy to use simple instructions. Fahrenheit to Celcius reads temp and parts per thousands in 3 settings. Amazing product Highly recommend. Starting using it right away. This is rhe best way to have accuracy. With calibration each and every time.

I was using a cheap refractometer that I bought on Amazon but it was giving me funny readings and seemed to need calibrating almost every time I used it. To save myself worry, I decided to invest in this salinity pen. Calibration is super easy and checking tank salinity is as simple as dunking the pen in the tank and turning it on. I have a squeezy bottle of RO that I keep handy for rinsing probes etc, which makes it very easy to give the pen a quick rinse before putting away. I had my water tested at the store where they use the Milwaukee digital refractometer and it was giving the same reading as this pen, so I'm fairly confident it's accurate.

Ein Stern für die schnelle Lieferung. Aber leider funktioniert dieser Tester nicht. Es wurde alles nach Anleitung ausgeführt aber leider zeigt er immer wieder Error an. Schade über 100,- EUR ausgegeben und erfüllt nicht seinen Zweck.

Item never worked. I changed the battery and still it didn’t work. Also it’s missing one calibration solution

If your used to S.G don’t forget to set measurements to that. By default it’s on PPT and NOT S.G I made the mistake and flooded my tank with RO.
