Stay away from the plastics when cooking hot foods. These spoons are nice and do the job. A little on the small side if you're cooking in larger pans/pots, but perfect for smaller 3QT sauce pans. No wood is dishwasher safe, so make sure you hand wash.

I received and used today making a soup. It works. However, I was expecting a round handle and this has a flat handle with rounded edges. The first spoon (2 pk) had a rough finish like it wasn’t sanded correctly, but it was still finished. This applied to the spoon and handle. Also, the spoon handle was warped in the opposite direction of the spoon part. Not a lot but enough that I kept using it backwards. The second spoon seems fine.The spoons are sturdy and the color is nice and true to picture. Good product for the price point.

Hand wash easily (I rarely put wooden items in the dishwasher). These are excellent quality for a good price.
