I ordered this long handled hoe because I love the shorter handled one. This one works just as well to get up weeds and grass. The reason for four stars is that it is very heavy. I am a short (5'3") woman and the tool is a bit heavy and long for me to handle. Works great for my husband though.

I gave this to my son who uses it in a high tunnel garden, He says it works really well, light weight and does a good job. He has been using it for about 1 year and it is still in good condition.

I have raised garden beds, and this hoe gets into the corners, easily slicing away weeds. It's sharp, too, and works well to chop up dirt clods and do a surface stir. The handle screws together and tends to loosen, but that' no big deal. A quick twist and it's tight again. Highly recommended.

This was an easy item to assemble and prep. However the blade arrived un-sharpened and needed to sharpen the blade. It was easy to sharpen with out the handle the metal was a little soft and easy to get an edge.Used it for 8hrs straight and it cut though heavy clay to get at the root of the weeds and goat heads that were growing.

Got it out of the box and used it right away. It is very sturdy and works really well with my garden that has small exposed areas where grass and weeds grow and I was easily able to work around my flowers without hitting any of them. I did however spend about 15 minutes with a wet stone putting a razor edge on it as it came blunt out of the box. Would definitely recommend this product.

The hoe is sturdy once assembled. I do wish the blade was sharper. It’s longer than I anticipated Not long enough to stand using it it longer than most hand tools. That may not be good as I’m a small woman and it could be hard on my wrist or cumbersome.Putting it together was not easy. The handle screws are about the same diameter as the hole. There is a square hole on one side and round on the other. They just wouldn’t line up exactly to get the screw through to the other side. I used a mallet to try and pound it in better but ended up drilling the little bit out to get the screw through and still had to pound it in with the mallet. If UPS was closer to me I would have returned it. Time will tell if the handle is too long for me but I think I’ll only use it occasionally.
