These cups are the perfect size and style for serving espresso drinks. I like the fact that they have perfectly flat bottoms instead of a ridged bottom like most coffee cups and mugs. The flat bottom allows heat to be more evenly distributed when they are sitting on a cup/mug warmer, which I frequently use.The matte glaze is a little different than the typical shiny glaze on most porcelain cups. I was afraid it might build up coffee stains, but so far it has not. Time and frequent use may tell a different story but, for now, they are a joy to use.The product description includes a California Proposition 65 warning, but this is for the "Labels and packing slips", not the product itself.

Just perfect for a smaller cup of coffee or tea; holds 5 ounces. The finish is a beautiful, low luster black that almost has some very subtle dark brown. Nicely weighted, and the handle is not too big or little. Arrived extremely well packaged. Seems like a low price for such nice cups.

These mugs are the perfect size for double espressos with cream! They are nice and thick, and fit perfectly in your hands. After daily use and going through the dishwasher for 3 months now, they still look brand new!

The cups are relatively small compared to a normal sized cup. The 7-ounce cups fit exactly 7 ounces filled all the way to the top and 6 ounces filled to 2cm below the top. They have a nice weight to them, and they don't feel fragile. I was expecting a deep red color as shown in the description picture, the color is a soft pink. The cups look very feminine with this color and with the smaller size they are more comfortable for smaller hands like mine. I put the cups in the microwave for 1 min on high to heat up my tea and the handles remain cold. The cups are also able to handle cold liquid or boiling liquid without issues. The bottom of the cups gets hot with hot liquids therefore I use coasters to preserve the surface of my furniture. The cups wash well in the regular dishwasher cycle.
