I ordered this product and very first time I used to cook lentils, the pressure valve was faulty and everything came out of cooker matter of fact it bursted through the lid all over my walls. It was a major safety concern so I rushed into securing everything. The valve had a hole see through . The seller did not do a good job with checking quality and safety of parts before shipping.This could have cause serious damage and injuries to a person .Into responsible

I got this for my sister’s family. I like the safety feature ( avoid to explode ) with the handle that locks really well. Cuts the time of cooking. I own a couple of this type of cooking gadgets. Perfect for soups and other ways. I like to start a whole chicken for few minutes just to seal in the moistness then transfer it in the oven to brown and crisps the skin. Sooo good! . My sister and her husband thanked me, they love it!

I bought the cooker to see if pressure cooking would tenderize meats better. Upon unpacking, I was uncertain about the cooker because of the way the lid latches. I’ve cooked three meals in it and I love it. The meats turnout delicious and tender. Cleanup is easy. It’s much faster than slow cooking in a pot and since I eat a lot of meat on the carnivore diet, it’s a blessing. I plan to cook this way nearly day. Great deal for the price.

Amazon can increase its selection of shippable pressure cookers. It’s a good value and I e used it successfully but the design leaves much to be desired. Compare it to Vinod pressure cooker design. This Hawkins: is a good size ( I would not buy anything smaller if you want to get a good pressure inside the cooker) but the lid design is strange and takes awhile to practice with. The top of the cooker is curved in so stacking containers inside is insanely tricky coupled with the way the lid has to be fitted in. Almost impossible to fit 2 containers inside. I purchased it when traveling and it does the job with the high pressure cooking needs plus it’s lightweight yet strong enough to pressure cook. Plus is it’s lightweight enough to put inside a suitcase and travel .

This pot is the perfect size for making meals for my baby that last a few days. The pressure cooker is strong enough to soften both lamb and chicken within 30–50 minutes when mixed with water and veggies.However, I wouldn’t recommend putting it in the dishwasher. Mine ended up discolored after doing so, and I had to scrub it thoroughly to get it clean again. Even then, it’s not as good as when it first arrived.Be careful when using it on a gas stove because if the flame is too high it can melt the handle.Also, the lid closes a bit differently since it’s oval-shaped rather than perfectly round.
