I have a garlic roaster made of clay. It does a good job, but the cast iron garlic roaster is sooo much better. I also roaster a small avocado I it.

These are so cute that I do wish they came in separate fancy boxes like the double one it comes in. They are nice heavy cast iron with a nice finish. Just love them.I haven't used these yet but will update when i do. Looking for a nice sized garlic head to bake but having a hard time finding a larger one... I'm sure they will be great.looking for more ideas of what to use them for creatively in cooking/baking. I'm sure there are some great idea makers out there (which i am not...)

Disclaimer: I may or may not be keeping the garlic growers of the world in business, that is how much garlic I eat and is why my headline said I need a dozen of these!First, these garlic roasters arrived beautifully packaged and ready for gift giving but do not have instructions as far as what temperature to season them and for how long. A quick internet search fixes that, no problem.Next. these garlic roasters are cast iron and so do need to be washed and dried before using. The keyword is not washed but DRIED. If you leave cast iron to air dry, you will find rust has formed.Once your cast iron garlic roasters have been washed AND DRIED, preheat the oven to 350°F and add a thin coating of melted shortening inside and out of the roasters. Turn them upside down and bake for one hour. Let cool.Now, the magic can begin. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Trim the head of a garlic bulb to expose the cloves and drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Cover and bake for 45 minutes to one hour. NOTE: You may turn the garlic 2 or 3 times during roasting by using a good old fashioned cloth pot holder or glove, silicone is too slippery to lift the lid off!Sit back while your mouth waters as you enjoy the scent of garlic roasting. Once they are ready to pop out of the oven, remove the lid and let the garlic bulb(s) cool enough to handle.And then...squeeze, from the bottom of the bulb on up. The cloves will come out like butter, ready to eat whole or to add to marinades, sauces, your breakfast cereal, whatever you like.Because yes, garlic is good on EVERYTHING (and it is healthy for you, too).FIVE STAR winner, garlic roasters!

These mini cast iron garlic roasters come in handy. They can make many things other than garlic if you're looking to roast small portions of veggies. Garlic does get a good flavor in these and so do shallots. This isn't a necessary item if you already cook with cast iron and have a small pan with a lid. They're a little pricey for the size, but worth it if you want a dedicated cooker just for your garlic.

What an adorable set of cast iron garlic roasters!! First off - The headline for this product states "PRE-SEASONED garlic roasters", which is odd - considering the product comes with specific instructions on pre-seasoning the roasters yourself. No mater - these are nicely made, well-constructed roasters that come complete with their own individual wooden serving trays. I could see ordering these in mass for a restaurant that specializes in GARLIC. However, for a a typical family, I'm not sure why the need for more than ONE of these would arise. My suggestion: Keep one for yourself and GIFT the other one to a friend or family member. They are really adorable and practically perfect for the home chef who loves to roast garlic. My family adores eating roasted garlic in mass (for the health benefits)...so who knows? Maybe we WILL keep both for ourselves after all! Enjoy!

These are very handy and, after seasoned, work very well. We use a lot of roasted garlic in this household and these Roasters will be well used. I also like that they come with the bamboo Trays so that we have a place to set them after bringing them out of the oven or off of the grill. They do need to be seasoned before they are used and there are very good instructions that come with the roasters that explain how to do that. Handles on the top very good. It’s easy to hold onto them to take them off. Really nice roasters.

This was an awesome gift for myself. It roasts a whole head of garlic perfectly. Comes with a tray to put the hot cast iron on after out of the oven. very easy to clean and dry. The instructions say this is pre-seasoned, but gives instructions for continuous seasoning which is helpful.. Very excited to have these super cute garlic roasters. I only wish the instructions had instructions for oven temp and time, but a quick google search will provide that info.
