I'm sure this has a legitimate use but for my use-case it's a paperweight. That said it's pretty to look at and as a fidgety kind of toy to just kind of tumble around in the hand it's quite nice. I am happy with it!

This is a cool looking prism. It has very clear glass. Looks just like the product photos. Looks nice in a window with the sun coming through.

The one that I received has some sort of partial metallic coating on one of the main surfaces, which you can see in the attached image. It looks like they tried to buff off a coating, and didn't quite finish the job. It is not on one of the ends, but on a main optic face. Sort of ruins the effect.Color separation is poor. The prism splits off some of the blue and some of the red, leaving a sort of greenish white coming out of the forward facet. OK for demonstrations or just an ornament, but no good for more serious experiments. As a pretty bauble it is well worth the price. Well, it would be if it didn't have that strange deposit on one surface. I will probably send it back and try another one. It would look very cool on a rock turntable with a stationary light pointed through it sideways. I still need a more serious one for optical experiments.

Für meine malerische Fotografie und als zusätzliches Objekt zum Lightpainting sehr gut geeignet. Ein etwas größeres Exemplar würde mir auch gefallen.

I am already enjoying noticing the changes in 3-D colours when it sits on my table. This seems more pleasing than turning the cube to observe the effect of the facents in real time. The size is deceptive; it looks smaller than stated but is accurate. If passive splitting light is what you want for teaching, this isn't for you. If appreciating colour wavelength blending it might be. The 3-d effect of coloured geometrical shapes seemingly held in colourless space is a winner in my book and not what I was anticipating. Gift box is rather lovely.
