- Insert the uninsulated wire into the terminal
Choose correct crimping die and crimp
Select the correct crimping die to crimp the connector.
Heat

Check

If you have a boat or a wiring issue that needs quality butt connectors that are heat shrinkable and have some insulating properties, then these are for you. Frankly every boater I know is always looking for these types of connectors. You seem to go thru them quickly when installing new gear or repairing an electrical issue and if you skimped out and bought the non-premium types that don't seal well than you are hosed. You have to do it right with marine connectors, it will fail if you don't. And it will fail just when you don't want it to.The connectors you must have for marine use are TINNED copper and you want ones that also have a strong shrink.These are for 8AWG wire. They work great when you use a heat gun and a quality crimper.The price is reasonable for what you get. You will see really cheap no shrinkable and non-tinned ones for less but do not use those. You will have nothing but problems. These will work.5 stars
