This appears to be nice quality self regulating heating cable. Works as advertised when you plug it in the cord will warm up. The 6ft length is good for us for keeping water valves/meters from freezing in commercial buildings when the rest of the water is shut off. Also works well for keeping the outdoor hose bibs from freezing if you can access where your pipes exit the house just wrap the last couple feet and you're good through most winter weather.

Quit working after 2nd winter in Minnesota! Now dealing with an ice filled down spout. Not worth the money.

I used this product to create an ice and snow free platform for my front porch. Love it and will be ordering more for other areas.

Heating cable installed in horizontal eavestrough drain pipes which are buried. Have to wait now until the spring thaw and hopefully the heating cables will thaw the drain pipes and prevent the build-up of ice that we had last winter.
