Used this Heatshield armor weld tape to finish edges of HP high temp thermal barrier material. Product adhered perfectly to barrier material and underside of hood. Gives a nice finished appearance and should keep thermal barrier from separating the aluminum from the fiberglass around the edges of the heat shielding. I purchased this to install the Heatshield Sticky Shield 23x24 inch on the firewall of my SUV.The Armor Tape 179002 was a complete waste of $24 for a little over 3 feet of tape. My intention was to cover all of the seams and edges with the tape. I followed all of the de-greasing instructions using rubbing alcohol and the air temp was 86 degrees on the installation day. I immediately noticed the tape doesn't stick as well as the Sticky Shield and I held it firmly in place for a few minutes over each few inches of the entire project and it still had a weak adhesive grip that was peeling off by the next day. It wouldn't stick securely to the Sticky Shield or the vehicle surface. I'm pleased with the main product (Heatshield Sticky Shield), but the tape is defective.

put on motorcycle blinker as had to alter position to put on a rack and exhaust was hitting it. doing the job, sticks and molds easily.

It has a strong adhesion, the material feels strong too as it feels like a thin type steel, nice match and good edging for the blanket.
