My wife has been bugging me about finding a better storage place for our kayaks. We have room in the attic space of the woodshed we are building, so I set out to design a pulley system to raise our kayaks to the ceiling. These are perfect! And a 4 pack at that!Pros: Each pulley has 2 bearings in it for greater load and stability. The bearings are very smooth. They are V groove pulleys which makes they useful for multiple applications. They are just about the right size for 3/8" rope, though I think you might be able to get a bigger rope in them. They are plated so they don't rust, and have a lock nut to keep the axel bolt in place. The base is solid and strong.Cons: Some small imperfection exist, probably from being tossed around on a conveyor belt during manufacturing, but they are barely noticeable.
